Lapu-Lapu gives P5M to CDO typhoon victims

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government turned over yesterday a P5-million check to the regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development as its donation to the victims of typhoon Sendong in Cagayan De Oro City.

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaz, Vice Mayor Marcial Ycong, city councilors and department heads arrived in Cagayan De Oro City at 2 p.m. yesterday to hand over the check.

DSWD Regional Director Araceli Solamello received the financial assistance in behalf of the city government of Cagayan De Oro.

The turnover was also witnessed by Congressman Rufus Rodriquez.

Solamello expressed thanks to Mayor Radaza, Vice Mayor Ycong and City Officials for the financial assistance.

Lapu-Lapu also sent P500,000 to Iligan City also for typhoon victims.
