CEBU, Philippines - The officers and members of the Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAVENCO) has expressed gratitude to the Mandaue City government and the market authority for the transfer of vendors on January 8 to the new public market located at the back of the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Center.
In a letter addressed to Mayor Jonas Cortes, the group thanked the city government for the stalls at the new public in a fair which were distributed to them in a transparent way.
The vendors also thanked Cortes for granting that the transfer be moved to January 8 from Dec. 18.
Once the operation at the new markter starts, the city will immediately fence to the old market to give way for its renovation and conversion into a one-stop shop designed for local and foreign tourists. – (FREEMAN)
