Mandaue's new traffic plan to take effect on January 6

CEBU, Philippines -  Starting January 6 next year, the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue will implement a new traffic plan for public utility Jeepneys and tricycles that will make it convenient for market goers to go to and from the new public market in the city.

All jeepneys bound for the Ouano Wharf coming from A. Del Rosario St. shall take a right turn to B. Ceniza St., right turn to A. Soriano Avenue, take a U turn at the U-turn slot in cor. W. O Seno St. and A. Soriano Avenue, take a right turn to the new Mandaue public market then exit to P. Burgos St., and right turn to C. Ouano St. to destination.

On the other hand, all jeepneys bound for Ibabao-Estancia coming from A. Del Rosario st. shall take a right turn to B. Ceniza St., right turn to A. Soriano Avenue, take a U-turn at the U-turn slot in corner W. O. Seno street and A. Soriano Avenue, take a right turn to the new public market then exit to P. Burgos St., left turn to Gomez St., right turn to S. B. Cabahug St. to destination.

All other jeepneys coming from A. Del Rosario St. shall take a right turn to B. Ceniza st., left turn to Gomez St., left turn to S.B. Cabahug St. to destination.

Meanwhile, all tricycles bound for Looc, Umapad, Opao, Labogon, Paknaan and other northern barangays coming from the old public market shall turn right to S. B. Cabahug St. to the new Mandaue public market then exit to P. Burgos St. to destination.

On the other hand, all tricycles bound for Maguikay, Casuntingan, Tipolo, Banilad, Subangdaku, Cabancalan, and Canduman coming from the old public market shall turn right to S. B. Cabahug St. to the new Mandaue public market then exit to P. Burgos St., left turn to Zamora St., right turn to B. Ceniza St. to destination.

Entry is prohibited from corner S. B. Cabahug St. and P. Gomez St. up to corner P. Gomez St. and P. Burgos St.

For all jeepneys from Ouano Avenue passing A. Soriano Avenue shall turn right to the new public market and exit and right turn at P. Burgos St. corner A. Soriano Avenue to destination.

Entry is prohibited from corner P. Burgos and Zamora St. up to P. Burgos St. and A. Soriano Avenue.

No left turn will be in effect for all types of vehicles from A. Soriano Avenue to the new Mandaue Public Market.

The corner of W. O. Seno St. and A. Soriano Avenue is designated as U-Turn slot for vehicles not more than 7,500 kgs. – (FREEMAN)
