CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City government will provide cooperatives next year with technical and financial assistance, Councilor Beethoven Andaya said.
He said the city government will allocate P600 thousand in its budget next year for training cooperative members.
Andaya said a number of cooperatives in Mandaue City cannot move on because of the lack of resources.
The Cooperative Development Authority has reported that some of the cooperatives failed to take off because of the lack of funds and problems with members.
Mayor Jonas Cortes has assured support to the cooperatives for being the acknowledged partners in development. - THE FREEMAN
