CEBU, Philippines - A police official of the Mandaue City Police Office is now in serious condition after figuring in a road accident last Wednesday evening at A. Soriano Street in barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
P/Insp. Rainero Cortes, the deputy chief of the Mandaue City Mobile Group division and a resident of barangay Day-as, Cebu City was on his way to work at around 9:15 p.m. last Wednesday when his motorcycle hit a concrete barricade on A. Soriano Street, in front of the Queen City Memorial Garden in barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
He was immediately taken to Cebu Doctors' Hospital by the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (ERUF).
Homicide chief P/Inspt. Ramil Morpos said although Cortes' attending physician did not find any bruises, wounds, or fractured bones, he was advised to undergo a CT scan for appearing disoriented during an interview.
Morpos said the police official remains at the Intensive Care Unit and is under observation after blood allegedly came out of his mouth. (FREEMAN)
