Woman in Talisay City held for possession of alleged shabu

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested a 19-year-old woman in barangay Tanke, Talisay City, Tuesday morning for possession of shabu.

Carol Dixie Bacalso, who resides in Tanke, is set to be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Seized from Bacalso were a plastic box, three small packets containing alleged shabu, six small packs of aluminum foil with shabu, and P450.

SPO3 Frederick Larrobis, PO3 Arnold Damasco, and PO2 Roy Lofranco were in Tanke to serve the warrant of arrest to a person who has been charged with alleged violation of RA 9165 when they saw Bacalso allegedly arranging packets containing alleged shabu.

Larrobis said while they were walking towards the house of the subject of the arrest warrant, they saw Bacalso sitting on a chair along the road counting something in her hand.

Larrobis said when they got close to her they saw Bacalso, who was still unaware of the lawmen, holding packets of shabu. - THE FREEMAN
