Another woman arrested for attempt to sneak shabu into jail

CEBU, Philippines - Another woman was arrested yesterday afternoon for trying to smuggle illegal drugs into the Lapu-Lapu City jail.

This is the second time a woman was arrested while visiting a loved one at the jail.

At around 3:05 yesterday, Rizalinda Cadungog, 36, married, of barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City was arrested by JO1 Shiela Mae Baylon after shabu was found in her wallet.

Cadungog was to visit her brother Kennedy Booc who is serving time since 2004 for cultivating marijuana.

Cadungog denied owning it and told the arresting officer that she only borrowed the said wallet.

She was immediately turned over to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office yesterday for the filing of appropriate charges.

Last Friday afternoon, Nanette Veloso, 43, of barangay Cambaro, was arrested for the attempt to sneak shabu into the jail while visiting boyfriend Danny Limotan who is imprisoned for robbery.
