CEBU, Philippines - Cebu Vice Governor Agnes Magpale urges Metro Cebu officials to help the police prevent cyber sex from invading their respective territories.
In a talk with The FREEMAN, Vice Governor Magpale said there is a need for law enforcers and the barangay, municipal, and city officials to cooperate.
"Kinahanglan na gayud nga magtinabangay kita batok nining cybersex" said Magpale.
Magpale believes that even though cyber sex dens had been stopped in the past, she has a feeling it is still going on.
"Kining mga tawo nga nalambigit niini, gusto man gud og dali ra kaayo ang kwarta mao nga miapil sila niining maong kalihukan," Magpale said.
Magpale said last month a woman came to her to tell her about the beatings she received from her own husband who forces her to engage in cyber sex.
"Ang bana mao pay nagsugo sa iyang asawa nga muapil niini nga mga binuang bisan supak sa iyang kabubut-on. Unya kay may edad naman siya, dili na maayo ang iyang lawas, kulatahon siya kun dili mutuman sa iyang gusto sa bana," Magpale said.
Magpale said she has visited different municipalities and cities to discuss these problem.
She said if everyone in the barangays is vigilant, cyber sex can never exist. (FREEMAN)
