Tire center burglarized

CEBU, Philippines - A car display center in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City lost P50,000 worth of tires to burglars.

Investigation revealed that it was Kristoff Parlie Alburo, 28, auto mechanic of Automaster Car Care Center, who discovered the items missing when the display center was opened last Monday morning. Authorities found out after an ocular inspection that the culprits entered the center by cutting the interlink wires that served as perimeter fence.

The security guard on duty at that time, Renato Nudalo, 44, of Ropisa Royal Security Agency, had no idea how the burglars entered the display center.

P/Insp. Ramil Morpos, chief of the Theft and Robbery Section of the Mandaue City Police, said they are not discounting the possibility that the burglary was an inside job, especially that it was already the third time that it happened to the store. The two stay-in workers will be investigated.

Morpos said Nudalo will be subjected to further investigation, as it was impossible that he did not have any knowledge of what was going on in his area of responsibility. However, Morpos said it is also possible that Nudalo was in a deep sleep when the incident happened. - THE FREEMAN
