CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue Evangelical Churches Association (MECA), which is composed of 13 churches, recently presented a manifesto of support to the administration of Mayor Jonas Cortes for his advocacy for children.
Also given the same manifesto for the same reason were Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, City Social Welfare Services Chief Violeta Cavada, and Mandaue City health officer Dr. Edna Seno.
Also at the simple ceremony were students of the Holistic Life Preparedness Program School operated by the Lord Who Cares Foundation Inc.
Vallioni Suico, program and development officer of the school and MECA spokesman, handed the manifesto to Cortes. MECA appreciates the mayor's advocacy, especially his campaign to help street children through the office of Cavada, the putting up of the three lactating stations in the city for the breastfeeding mothers, which is managed by Seno's office.
The manifesto for Vice Governor Magpale is MECA's support for her campaign against pornography and cybersex. - THE FREEMAN
