CEBU, Philippines - Market administrator Mousolini Soliva has advised all market stall vendors at the old Mandaue City public market to settle their delinquent accounts and renew their business permits in order to have a swift transfer to the new market located at the back of the City Sports Complex next month.
Soliva yesterday said the vendors have been advised on what to do to have a smooth transfer.
Soliva said once stall vendors have moved into the new market, the city government will immediately order the old market fenced.
"Naa man dyuy oppositors and if mo-waive sila sa ilang rights nga di dyud moadto sa bag-ong merkado then so be it, tutal adunay daghan Mandauehanon nga naghuwat nga makaangkon og pwesto sa new market," Soliva said.
He said it is necessary to fence the old market because it could collapse anytime.
The old market caught fire in 2004.
Soliva said on Tuesday, the market authority will convene to discuss the final opening of the new market and the closing of the old one. (FREEMAN)
