Problem with boundaries

CEBU, Philippines - Two barangays share the same name and the same border but the official line that should separate the two areas has yet to be determined.

Barangay Casili in Consolacion town and barangay Casili in Mandaue City are neighbors, and Consolacion is anxious to meet Mandaue officials to settle the matter.

Consolacion Mayor Teresa Alegado said the problem on boundaries prevents the town from completing its Forest Land Use Plan, which would help the town introduce projects and attract investors as well as preserve and protect the environment.

Barangay Jagobiao in Mandaue City and barangays Tugbungan and Nangka in Consolacion suffer the same problem. (FREEMAN)
