Senior citizens to get more help from town

CEBU, Philippines - Consolacion Mayor Teresa Alegado will continue to assist senior citizens, a promise she made the other day during the opening program that kicked off "Senior Citizens Week" in the town.

Alegado said she has directed the Municipal Social Welfare Office to help senior citizens.

The mayor said the medical and dental missions held recently in the town benefited mostly senior citizens.

She said a building will soon rise along the national highway beside the Consolacion Sports Complex that will house the office of senior citizens.

"Nakita nato nga dako usab og natampo ang atong mga senior citizens sa kalambuan sa atong lungsod hinungdan nga ato usab gitagad ang ilang mga problema," Alegado said
