CEBU, Philippines - An estimated P250,000 worth of shabu was seized from a drug pusher in Lapu-Lapu City while another drug pusher was arrested on the strength of a warrant Friday afternoon in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.
The first to fall during a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Anti Illegal Special Operations Task Force (CAIDSOTF) of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Thursday evening was Ryan Oyao, alias "Insik," of barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.
Oyao was arrested at his house.
Based on a police report, Oyao was arrested after handing over five small packs containing shabu to a poseur buyer who in turn handed him P1,000 in marked money.
After the arrest, the police found seven plastic packs containing shabu worth P245,000 and another 19 packs containing shabu worth P3,800 inside the suspect's house.
Oyao, according to the police, could at least dispose of 200 grams of shabu per week, thus classifying him as a level 2 drug pusher.
Oyao's father and two uncles were also arrested during buy-bust operations last month conducted by the Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue City police.
Meanwhile, the Opao police station, led by its chief P/Insp. Wilson Abot arrested another level 2 drug pusher in sitio Utlanan in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.
Alex Omolon, 52, married, is now detained at the Mandaue City jail.
He was served a warrant signed by Judge Marilyn Yap of the RTC branch 28 with no bail recommended. (FREEMAN)
