Lapu-Lapu initiates cleanup campaign, too

CEBU, Philippines - Close to 1,000 employees of business firms at the Mactan Export Processing Zone and departments of the Lapu-Lapu City government, students, barangay health workers, private and non-government organizations cleaned the sewage system in barangay Basak, one of the barangays prone to flooding.

The clean-up drive was initiated by the Mactan Economic Zone-2 Multipartite Monitoring Team.

Members of the Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Philippine National Red Cross, the clean and green in barangay Basak joined the cleaning. Radaza expressed her gratitude to the volunteers.

Earlier, Radaza said her administration will now prioritize the implementation of a drainage project in the city.
