Mandaue worker caught allegedly selling shabu

CEBU, Philippines - A job order employee of the Mandaue City hall assigned to the Janitorial and Security Service Unit (JASSU) and works as a market guard was arrested yesterday dawn after he was caught in the act of selling shabu to a poseur buyer.

Roy Rodriguez, 43, single, of B. Ceniza Street in barangay Mantuyong, Mandaue City was arrested at San Antonio Street corner Plaridel Street in barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City at 3:55 yesterday morning.

He was arrested by a team from the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (CAIDSOTF) led by its chief P/Insp. Henrix Bancoleta.

Rodriguez is now detained at the Centro police station.

Upon learning of the incident, city administrator James Abadia said Rodriguez will be investigated.

Abadia said the job order worker will be terminated if it is proven that he indeed sold illegal drugs. - THE FREEMAN
