Girl cries Rape

CEBU, Philippines - A girl has accused a 25-year-old man of raping her inside a motel in barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City Wednesday night after drinking with her and her friends earlier.

Ruben Aragon of barangay Tipolo was arrested and charged with rape after the girl told police the man took her to a motel in barangay Banilad.

The girl claimed that after the rape, they left the motel in a taxi and headed for barangay Tipolo where she took a Liloan town-bound jeepney.

But instead of heading home, the girl said she decided to seek help from the driver who took her to the City Social Welfare Services (CSWS), accompanied by a barangay tanod. 

Later, the girl and her mother went to the police, and hours after, Aragon was arrested.

He was taken to the Casuntingan police station and was then turned over to the Subangdaku police station.

The girl went to the Pink Room of the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for an examination but the result of which was negative.

The police, however, said despite the negative result, the man can still be charged with rape.
