CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City Police Office director PSr./Supt Noel Gillamac yesterday urged the community to be wary of new faces in the community in view of the participants in the botched bank robbery three days ago in Cebu City. The robbers hail from Ozamis City.
Gillamac yesterday said the police were surprised after learning that one of the suspects in the P1.2 million bank heist had rented a room in one of the houses in sitio Wireless, barangay Subangdaku.
Police only learned that the wounded suspect Junjun Cabando was bloodied when he was last seen in the area, and hurriedly left together with his lover after changing clothes.
He said the police do not possess superhuman abilities, and need the community's help.
"We don't possess super human abilities that is why we are soliciting the help of the community," Gillamac said.
He said that since February this year, MCPO has already assigned one policeman for each of the 27 barangays in the city, who could help the barangay tanods in maintaining peace and order. - THE FREEMAN
