DOLE gives P300T to women's groups

CEBU, Philippines - Three women's organizations in three barangays in Consolacion town received the other day from the Department of Labor and Employment-7 P300,000 in seed money for livelihood projects.

These organizations are based in barangays Tayud, Nangka, and Cansaga.

Director Exequiel Sarcaoga handed over three checks to Mayor Teresa Alegado who in turn gave each of the three organizations a check for P100,000.

Based on the agreement, the financial assistance will be used to start livelihood programs such as rug making, fashion accessories, decorative wallts, among others.

Present during the turnover were Councilors Nilo Ferraren, Brando Cuizon, Julius Alegado, Iluminado E. Alin, ABC president Marilou P. Casul, and PESO manager Romulo Mindajao. (FREEMAN)
