Ten fighting cocks stolen, 6 recovered

CEBU, Philippines - A man in barangay Pasil in Cebu City who had bought fighting cocks from men from barangay Pajo,Lapu-Lapu City turned them over to the police after learning these were stolen.

The Theft and Robbery Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police had recovered six of ten fighting cocks that were stolen from Dante Balane, of sitio Kamanse in barangay Pajo.

Balane had earlier reported the missing chickens to the TRS.

In the course of an investigation, someone told the police that the reported missing chickens were taken to barangay Pasil in Cebu City and sold at P2,500 each.

Police learned the chickens were sold to a certain Roel Gonzales but the man turned over the chickens to the police when he learned these were stolen.

Police said those involved in the theft are Narciso Omolon, 59, married, construction worker Jordan Borgador, 24, single, and Jason Velos, 25, all residents of barangay Pajo. -
