2 men fight over food

CEBU, Philippines - A man wounded Sunday a cousin with a beer bottle while allegedly fighting over fried chicken in Zone Ubi in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.

Vicente Biano, 43, was taken to the Mandaue City hospital with a wound on the left arm and left abdomen inflicted by cousin Edilito Gitgano, 46.

The Homicide Section said Gitgano was under the influence of liquor when the incident happened.

Police said the incident started when Gitgano grabbed the whole fried chicken had just bought and then fled. Biano chased Gitgano and when he caught up with him, they exchanged heated words, police said.

Police said while the two men were quarreling, Gitgano picked up an empty beer bottle and swung at his cousin twice.

Gitgano is detained pending the filing of a theft case against him.
