P2M for dengue drive

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government has set aside P2 million this year for the city health department to be used in its campaign against dengue.

Mayor Paz Radaza said cases of dengue had decreased on the first six months of this year compared to last year, but she wants the City Health Department to continue with its campaign.

According to Mayor Radaza, part of the P2 million will be used for the purchase of chemicals.

The city mayor said she also directed City Health Officer Dr. Rodulfo Berame to undertake a massive education campaign.

"Nakita nato nga usa sa angayan gayud himoon aron malikayan nato kining dengue mao ang kanunay nga limpyo sa atong palibut," Radaza said. — THE FREEMAN
