CEBU, Philippines - The Mandaue City Police Office was recently adjudged as the best police station in Central Visayas and the fourth in the entire country.
MCPO director PSr./Supt Noel Gillamac attributes the award to implemented flagship programs of the PNP such as crime prevention, initiatives in combating illegal drugs, police community relations, Oplan Bakal and Oplan Kalikasan.
"We accomplished so much for 2010, naa lang jud problems nga dili ma solve," he said.
But he assured his men will not stop solving and preventing crimes.
He said a lot can be achieved with the help of the local government unit and the community.
Gillamac cited the city government's generosity for giving motorcycles, cars, and guns, which all contributed to achieving the accolade. - THE FREEMAN
