CEBU, Philippines - The promotion of sports tourism in Lapu-Lapu City is being assumed as a big contribution to the increase in the number of visitors to the city in the first six months of this year.
The city government launched the sports tourism last year.
Hembler Mendoza, general manager of the Waterfront Hotel Mactan, said that the hotel supports the program because the hotel industry, aside from other businesses, would benefit from it.
