CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Council yesterday during its regular session commended former Department of Education-Talisay City District assistant superintendent Ofelia Hermosa for her appointment as School Division Superintendent in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.
"It is appropriate for the City of Talisay to acknowledge and recognize the ability of our true full blooded Talisaynon.. her achievement does not only bring honor and fame to the City but worthy of praise and recognition," read the resolution which was approved unanimously by the council members.
The resolution was sponsored by Councilor Dennis Basillote, chairman on council committee on Education.
Before she became DepEd-Talisay assistant superintendent, Hermosa was a school administrator of Mohon Elementary School, then became Education Supervisor I of English in the same school district. - THE FREEMAN
