Mandaue resident arrests man for robbing woman

CEBU, Philippines - A resident of barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City arrested an 18-year-old man for robbing a woman Sunday evening at the Reclamation Area in barangay Subangdaku.

Victor Urot, 18, of barangay Daan, Tabogon town and temporarily residing in barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City was arrested by Alberto Panares.

Based in the statement of Panares to the police, he saw the man robbing a woman, a resident of V. Rama Cebu City.

Panares said the woman was walking when the two men approached her and held her up.

The robbers took her bag which contained a cellular phone worth P5,000, P150, and other personal belongings.

However just as the men were fleeing, Panares said he immediately arrested one of them. The other suspect got away.

Seized from Urot were a knife and things belonging to the woman.
