Capitol consultant wants to see stronger PESO

- Jose P. Sollano -

CEBU, Philippines - A Mandaue City businessman who has been tapped by the provincial government to provide support to small businessmen in cities and municipalities in the province urges local government officials to strengthen their respective Public Employment and Service Office.

Businessman Glenn Soco, president of the Global Power Skills Development Center, said that the PESO should not only be in municipalities and cities, but also in the barangays.

Soco said PESO personnel are needed by those who seek employment, especially new graduates, because they serve as the bridge between the job applicants and those who are in need of workers.

"Dinhi nato makita unsa gayud ka dako sa papel sa PESO nga kinahanglan gayud maglihok didto sa barangay level," Soco said. (FREEMAN)
