CEBU, Philippines - A group of trisikad drivers in Mandaue City went to the office of the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) last Thursday morning to protest the confiscation this week of the trisikads of fellow drivers allegedly for plying in major thoroughfares.
The drivers are members of the Sto. Niño Trisikad Drivers Association.
They said it is difficult to get back their trisikads because the person who can release the trisikads is Fiscal Bienvinido Mabanto, the vice chairman of the Traffic Management Board.
Two weeks ago, trisikad and jeepney drivers in the city rallied at city hall to seek Mabanto's ouster.
They alleged they wanted to air some grievances but was instead scolded by the prosecutor.
They claimed they wanted their trisikads back but Mabanto wouldn't mind them.
"Ingnon ra man nuon ta nga iyang ballpen di daw moagi," a trisikad driver said.
