Parilla: Consolacion's acting police chief

CEBU, Philippines -  Consolacion town has a new acting police chief.

His name is Police Inspector Wilbert Parilla.

Parilla replaced Inspector Teodulfo Manatad III who was assigned to the Special Reaction Unit of the Cebu Provincial Police Office.

Parilla was the former chief of police of the Municipality of Argao.

Consolacion Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole has urged the town's new police chief to intensify the campaign against all forms of criminality, at the same time assuring full support to his leadership.

Damole, who represented Mayor Teresa Alegado, witnessed the turn-over of command to Parilla.

The turn-over of command was also attended by Cebu Provincial Police Office chief Senior Superintendent Patrocinio Commendador.

Damole said that with an increasing population, there is

a need for the town especially the police department to intensify the

campaign against all forms of criminality.

In a previous interview with The FREEMAN, Consolacion Mayor Teresa Alegado said she wants changes in the leadership in the police force following a series of incidents that threatened peace and order in the town.

Alegado also expressed dismay over the discovery of an alleged cybersex den involving a foreign national.
