- Flor Z. Perolina -

CEBU, Philippines - Workers of the Hanphil Autoparts found a lifeless man inside their store when they reported for work yesterday morning.

Workers Ramil Archival and Selmon Rom said they saw a body of a person lying face down on the floor, prompting them to call the Accident Emergency Rescue Team (ACERT).

PO1 Restituto Raboy of the Homicide Section said the man was later identified as Ruben Bototoy, 55, of Yati,Liloan Town.

He was at the store at around past 4 p.m. last Friday looking for car spare parts.

The workers said that after a meeting that ended at past 5 p.m., they immediately closed the store without knowing Batotoy was still inside.

His son, Marlowe Batotoy, who claimed the body, said family members had been looking for their father since Friday yet and had kept on calling his cellular phone.

He only learned of his death when the police answered the dead man's phone.

Raboy said signs of foul play have not been detected but the police have advised the family to have the body autopsied.
