Lapu-Lapu food fest tonight

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Tourism and Historical Affairs Committee will formally open tonight the food festival, one of the highlights of this year's Kadaugan sa Mactan celebration.

Tourism Commissioner Hembler Mendoza said the food festival will be participated by beach resorts and five-star hotels in Lapu-Lapu City.

The participants include Shangrila Resort Hotel and Spa, Hilton Hotel, Waterfront Mactan Hotel, Plantation Bay Hotel and Spa, BE Hotel, and other hotels in the city.

Mendoza said the food festival will showcase the foods from different beach resorts and hotels and offered to the public at lower prices.

Mendoza said the yearly food festival is an activity initiated by hotel and resorts owners in Lapu-Lapu City to support the "Kadaugan sa Mactan" celebration.
