Liloan health workers' honorarium increased

CEBU, Philippines - The municipal government of Liloan will release another P500 in honorarium to all barangay health workers in the town, said Mayor Vincent Frasco "Duke" Frasco.

Frasco said he wants to increase the workers' monthly honorarium because they help the municipal government deliver health services to the people in the town.

"Nasayod man gud ta kon unsa ka dako sa responsibilidad ug gimbuhaton sa mga BHW diha sa ilang tagsatagsa ka barangay, mao nga naningkamot usab ang lungsod nga matagaan sila ug dugang honorarium," Frasco said.

Vice Mayor Merelito Surita, on the other hand, said the Sangguniang Bayan supports the granting of incentives and honorariums to municipal and barangay officials.

Leah Pepito, president of the Federation of Barangay Health Workers has expressed her gratitude for the increase in the honorarium.
