"Salvaged" man found

CEBU, Philippines - A village watchman in barangay Tawason found a body of a man that bore 6 gunshot wounds early yesterday.

At the Cosmopo-litan Funeral in Mandaue City, a relative identified the dead man as Harold Oporto, 38, separated, and a resident of barangay Bacayan, Cebu City.

Oporto was found in an isolated area in sitio Tuburan at around 6 a.m. Jovy Bonlosan.

His stomach, right jaw, left breast, and on the navel show bullet wounds. Two deformed slugs of an undetermined caliber firearm were found in the crime scene.

Oporto was wearing a pair of gray long pants, black t-shirt, white undershirt, a pair of black slippers, and a brown hat when found.

Morpos said not one in the neighborhood had witnessed the crime but some had heard gunshots ring in the air. – THE FREEMAN
