Lapu-Lapu won't allow bottled liquor to be sold on "Kadaugan" party day
CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City government won't allow stores along the Manuel L. Quezon Avenue to sell liquor in bottles on April 29 and on April 30 when the "Kadaugan" Street Party will be held.
Lapu-Lapu City Councilor Harry Don Radaza made the announcement in a meeting with storeowners in barangays Pajo and Pusok to prevent trouble.
" Naglikay naman gud kitang daan nga walay kagubot nga mahitabo gumikan kay nakaseguro man kita nga daghan kaayo og mga bisita ug mga tawo nga mutambong sa maong kalihukan," said Councilor Radaza.
Radaza said barangay tanods of Pusok, Pajo and neighboring barangays have been asked to assist the police in maintaining peace and order on those days.
The city councilor said Lapu-Lapu City police chief Senior Superintendent Anthony Obenza has assured the safety of visitors.
Contents, car exhibits, and other shows will be featured on these days.
