Lapu-Lapu checks seawater near beach resorts, hotels

CEBU, Philippines - The Lapu-Lapu City Health Department has resumed its monthly check of seawater near beach resorts and hotels by taking samples.

City Health Deparment has been tasked to conduct constant monitoring of the dumping of waste at the sea-waters off the city especially in island barangays.

Radaza said her office has reminded owners and operators of beach resorts and hotel to observe proper disposal of garbage.

"Pinaagi sa kahugpongan sa mga tag-iya ug beach resorts ug hotels sa Lapu-Lapu kanunay nato sila nga gipahinumdoman," said Mayor Radaza.

She said the city is a favorite place of visitors especially foreign tourists because of its beautiful beaches.

Radaza said the latest water samples taken by city health office show nothing to be alarmed of. (FREEMAN)
