Fire destroys house, Eversly warehouse

CEBU, Philippines - Fire destroyed a house and to some extent damaged a warehouse of the Engineering Department of the Eversly Child Sanitarium and Hospital in sitio Lourdes, barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City yesterday afternoon.

Damage to property was placed at P150,000.

Cornelio Jabas’ house, made of semi-concrete materials, was totally burned. He said the fire started in the ceiling.

The warehouse served as a storeroom for beds.

Based on the initial investigation conducted by FO3 Cipriano Codilla Jr., faulty electrical wiring could have caused the fire. – (FREEMAN)
