CEBU, Philippines - A 66-year-old woman was found lifeless inside her house in a posh subdivision in barangay Pooc, Talisay City Wednesday morning.
Police said the body belonged to Helen Calderon who was apparently living alone in one of Corona del Mar's expensive houses.
Her son Fernando Go Jr. found Calderon's body slumped in a sofa with dry blood coming from her nose and mouth.
Calderon's body was taken to the Saint Francis Funeral Homes for autopsy to see whether there was foul play.
Inspector Ricardo Echavez however believed Calderon could have suffered from cardiac arrest and since there was no other person in the house who could have helped her, she died.
Echavez said Go told the police that his mother was diabetic, and that he always phoned her everyday.
He said the last time they had talked with each other was last Saturday.
He said he called her last Sunday but got no answer.
Last Wednesday he decided to pay her a visit and found her already dead. (FREEMAN)
