No bomb found in unattended bags

CEBU, Philippines - The two unattended bags beside a road near the Nuestra Señora Virgen de la Regla Church in barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning contained not a bomb, as imagined by worried residents, but a Bible and some personal effects.

Men from the Special Weapons and Tactics, headed by Inspector Jacinto Mandal, quickly responded after receiving a call from a concerned citizen regarding the bags.

"Gihimo nato ang pagsusi sa bag apan atong nakita nga walay bomba ug dili kagamitan sa bomba ang sulod niini," said Mandal. (FREEMAN)
