Son of alleged drug pusher falls with 101 packets of shabu
CEBU, Philippines - Police the other night seized 101 packets of suspected shabu from a man who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in sitio Soong 1, Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.
The suspected is estimated to cost P35,000, said Lapu-Lapu Police intelligence chief Senior/Insp. Glenn Hife.
The arrested person was identified as Genesis Amodia, 20. His father, Saturnino "Tornik" Amodia, was able to escape still with the P200 buy bust money.
"Wala na namo maapsi kay didto man paingon sa ngitngit unya nisuot sa kalibunan," Hife said.
Genesis, whom police cornered after the transaction, is currently detained at the stockade of the Lapu-Lapu Police Office.
"If nadakpan namo ang amahan naa jud siguro mi makuha ato nga kwarta," Hife said.
Hife said it is actually Saturnino who sells the drugs and transacted with the poseur buyer outside his residence. Genesis reportedly served as a right hand. Saturnino is allegedly a noted drug pusher in Barangay Mactan and sells about five grams of drugs at night amounting to about P35,000 or 35 grams a week amounting to P245,000.
Saturnino also reportedly employed the services of runners, but his son allegedly refused to disclose their names. He disclosed, however, that their main source of the drugs is a resident of Lapu-Lapu.
"Di man nato mapugos nga di siya musulti basta ingon siya taga-Lapu-Lapu ra sad ang ilang kuhaanan," Hife told The Freeman in a phone interview.
Hife said they cannot file a case for drug pushing against the suspects because they will have no evidence to support the case, as the marked money is with Saturnino. He said what they can file for now is a case for possession of illegal drugs.
Operation is ongoing for the arrest of Saturnino. (FREEMAN)
