One of the first lifestyle brands as we know it, Maison Kitsuné merged a love for music and fashion when it opened in 2002 first as a record label. Conceptualized on a trip to Japan by founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kurokie, two minds coming from entirely different backgrounds, the pair’s first ready-to-wear-collection in 2005 has since expanded to seasonal lines along with an art gallery and a chain of cafés and restaurants worldwide.

A favorite among the creative class, style-wise, the cultural and aesthetic connections between Paris and Tokyo bring together sharp tailoring, distinct streetwear influences, playfulness and wearable, comfort-focused designs.

A selection was available in Manila inside multi-brand lifestyle store Hoodwink — remember Kitsuné Club Nights in SM Aura after mall hours and Black Market? With the new standalone store in Shangri-La Plaza Mall store, you can shop a wider selection.

Displayed in-store are its spring-summer 2024 collection and the ever-present Iconics collection, which reflects its cool yet comfort-focused ethos. SS24 also introduces the new and boldly feminine line: Baby Fox. Being an icon for spring, the Baby Fox brings sweet-vibrant looks and comfy wearability. With pastel to bright shades and preppy knits and prints, this season embraces the urban casualness and fun in fashion.

The Paris-meets-Tokyo brand hosted a one-time-only club Kitsuné at The Shang, gathering the coolest crowd from fashion, music, and art. Hours were filled with hot beats from DJs Gabby Agbayani and Javier, foxy cocktails from Rémy Martin, and a delectable food menu from Margarita Signature Caterer.

From the items to the experience, Maison Kitsuné embodies the free-spirited nature that has long defined the brand.
