Chanel’s latest ‘it’ women
Chanel recently launched the new Chance campaign — four playful mini-films starring four modern-day women — shot in Venice and directed by award-winning Canadian director Eva Michon. Hint, hint: these are the women you should start following on Instagram.
For fruity Chance Eau Tendre is 23-year-old actress originally from Hong Kong, Angela Yuen, who Chanel calls “the epitome of delicateness.” She currently stars in The White Girl directed by Jenny Suen.
For Chance is daughter of singer Lauryn Hill, 19-year-old American model Selah Marley. Selah represents the fragrance, which beams with sensuality and attitude. She recently walked the runway for the Paris-Cosmopolite Collection.
The Chance Eau Fraiche mini-film stars 28-year-old model and actress from Argentina, Belen Chavanne. Like the citrusy scent, Chavanne is bursting with freshness. She is a loyal fan of the House.
Lily Newmark stars in the Chance Eau Vive mini-film. Like the oral-zesty fragrance, Lily’s vitality is contagious. The 22-year-old television actress stars in Pin Cushion, which competed at the Cannes Film Festival. She can also be seen in the 2018 film Born a King.
The films can be viewed at @chancechanel.
Tom Ford’s Boys & Girls
Fifty boys and 50 girls in Tom Ford’s life inspire a new collection of 100 lip colors. Boys & Girls is a twist on the original Lips & Boys collection. Now, he reintroduces 50 boys and, for the first time, unveils the Girls — 50 lipsticks named after women. The full lineup ranges in texture from cream, matte and metallic to sheer and ultra-rich finishes, and can be layered or worn alone to suit every personality and every mood.
The lipsticks are infused with soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilia flower oil to help create an ultra creamy texture, which specially-treated pigments are blended to deliver pure color with the right balance of opacity and luminosity. The lipsticks are available this month for P1,960 each, at Tom Ford Beauty Rustan’s Makati.
YouTuber Patrick Starrr’s MAC collection out in February
Makeup artist and YouTube and Instagram sensation Patrick Starrr, not to be confused with a certain cartoon starfish from Spongebob, recently collaborated with MAC cosmetics for a makeup line. Starrr worked with MAC as a makeup artist and, eventually, being a techie as well, created his own YouTube channel, which features tutorials.
Starrr says, “I did not want to go too artsy or too avant-garde, because I wanted someone’s grandma to walk in and feel great buying it. I think the inspiration behind this was very much Patrick Starrr, but to make sure it’s universal. Everyone loves makeup, glamour and sparkle. This is a 12-piece collection. It was truly a mind-blowing experience and couldn’t believe it was real. I even got to come up with the names. It was such a historic moment for me and couldn’t be more excited for everyone to see how it comes to life!
