Tech sport
As of this writing, chances are, it’s already raining in some parts of the metro. A well-dressed man should never let anyone rain on his parade. Literally. Sport jackets that are outdoor/rain-proof should do the trick and cover you up in style.
Nylon raincoat from Gant, wide-rib crew-neck sweater from Porsche Design, chambray oxford shirt from Hugo Boss, and chinos from Topman.
Big checks
Up your checkered sartorial game ante and cop this season’s big checks trend. Attention grabbing yet still very dandy
looking at the same time. Get ready because all eyes
will be on you.
Plaid sport coat, regular fit tan and navy windowpane linen sport shirt, and wool cardigan all from Brooks Brothers; Colored chinos from Topman; Brown leather belt with stitching from Springfield.
Casual suiting
We are nowhere near the Hamptons but looking nifty during the weekends or an out-of-office meeting wouldn’t hurt. Suit up casually and look your best ever.
Stripe summer suit from Hugo Boss, burgundy tile print short sleeve shirt from Topman, linen pants from Gant.
Tailored shorts
You might not have heard but shorts these days can now be worn with leather shoes, suits — even ties. You will never pull off this look if you’re even thinking of wearing your dated baggy cargos. So make sure your shorts are trimmed and tailored in a slim cut.
Denim jacket from Levi's available at Crossings Department Store, two-tone tile print shirt from
Perry Ellis and tailored shorts
both from Topman.
Neutrals
One word: spiffy. Always look like the dashing man that you are and bust out your whites, nudes and grays from your closet. Make sure though that they’re spot-free and well-ironed before leaving the house. Who knows, you might bump into someone that day who wants to mess you up a little. Jk.
V-neck sweater from Porsche Design, dress shirt and linen pants both from Gant.
Gloomy blooms
Can men wear florals? Florals? For spring? Yes and yes. But we’re welcoming the dark side this time in the duskiest shades of flora.
Mixed print jacquard plain weave with side slit hemline top from Dries Van Noten available at Homme et Femme and slim pants from Topman.
Camo
This trend has been tweaked, modified and even embellished (by Valentino) for the past few seasons now. And — surprise, surprise — we’re still not over-fatigued by it. (See what I did there?) A new take on the camo is to mute its print by pairing it with neutrals for a more dapper less military form. Do I hear a yessir?
Stripe oxford camo sport shirt from Brooks Brothers, slim suit and pants both from Topman, and taupe leather belt from
Springfield.
Varsity jackets
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not talking about dressing like a douchie college jock in oversized everything here. We’re hitting the big league by pairing tailored varsity jackets with button down casual shirts for a more preppy look.
Varsity jacket from Diesel and check slim short sleeve shirt and colored chinos both from Topman.
