Ayala Malls Style Origin at Centrio Mall: CDO gets its style on
MANILA, Philippines - Cagayan de Oro city was the latest to exercise its style muscles when Ayala Malls Style Origin 2014 put up shop at Centrio Mall last June 7 and 8. Aptly focusing on active lifestyle, the Mensweek and community fashion shows featured street-appropriate looks for the active and fashionable urban crowd.
Mensweek, directed by Ariel Lozada, featured looks from the country’s sought-after menswear designers. The collection of 33 pieces first appeared on the Greenbelt 5 runway earlier this month at Style Origin launch, and has traveled all the way to CDO to give Kagay-anons some style inspiration. While the active lifestyle fashion show, directed by Robby Carmona, featured community models wearing local and international brands such as Basic House, DC, Mango, Jockey, Petrol, Quicksilver/Roxy, Wrangler, Keds, Spruce, Bratpack, Puma, Res Toe Run, Rockport, Sperry, Artwork, Bettina, Folded N’ Hung, and Mags. Robinson’s Department Store, RRJ, and What a Girl Wants.
Empress Schuck, Joseph Marco and Miss Universe 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida made special appearances during the shows.
Now on its fourth year, Ayala Malls’ annual lifestyle series Style Origin, presented in partnership with The Philippine STAR and Star World and sponsored by Shokubutsu Hana Shampoo And Systema Tooth And Gum Care, continues to energize and elevate the experience of shopping with inspirations from the runway and the experts. This year, it has put together picks from top fashion editors Regina Belmonte of YStyle, Bianca Gonzales and Rainier Dagala of Meg, Peewee Isidro and Patrick Galang for Mega, and Kate Paras and Elaine Carag for Chalk.
This year, Style Origin tours Ayala Malls all over the country to bring the latest fashion from celebrated Filipino designers, homegrown and foreign brands. Style Origin will be at MarQuee Mall on June 14-15, Bonifacio High Street on June 14-15, TriNoma on June 21-22, Fairview Terraces on June 28-29, Market! Market! on July 12-13, Abreeza Mall on July 19-20, Alabang Town Center on July 26-27, and Ayala Center Cebu on August 2-3.
