MANILA, Philippines - Florabel and Felix offer a special Valentine’s Day menu prepared by chef Florabel Yatco.
And whether you prefer the casual elegance of Florabel at Podium Mall or the chic vibe of Felix at Greenbelt 5, you and your date can sample these special creations of chef Florabel.
Warm up your palate with a plate of baby octopus and edamame salad in soy radish vinaigrette or crispy prawns with romaine lettuce salad in creamy balsamic dressing. A bowl of cream of broccoli soup with almond flakes provides a nice contrast to the textures of the salad.
For the main dish, there are three options. There’s roast pork loin in apple sauce served with sweet potatoes, glazed beans, and carrots if you want something classic. But since this is a special day, try the grilled salmon with pan fried foie gras in creamy chardonnay sauce served with three-grain risotto and green asparagus spears.
And finally, a robust serving of roast black US Angus rib-eye steak with bone marrow sauce served with truffle mashed potatoes and haricot verts will please meat lovers.
Make it an even sweeter meal with a slice of opera cake—a layered delight of almond sponge cake, espresso, ganache, and coffee buttercream glazed in chocolate and topped with sliced strawberries. Chocolate macarons will also be served as an extra treat. Finally, toast to the romantic evening with a glass of sweet Moscato wine.
