The hit girls
MANILA, Philippines - When we met to throw our #GirlsGoneYSTYLE bets out there, the list grew long and incredibly diverse. We pulled femmes from all fields: artists, models, stylists, photographers, designers, bloggers, writers and musicians. They aren’t necessarily It girls by today’s standards, and many of them might not be household names or even familiar faces, but the unifying factor is that they all have Something (with a capital S) about them that fascinates us. They’re mostly in the public eye, yes, and some of them are so gorgeous that, in the words of photographer BJ Pascual, “ang sarap sugatan.†And while most are working in the fields of showbiz or fashion, which are typically the territory of the modern day It girl, they transcend It.
They’re the women who exude a magnetism that intrigues you and draws your eye, whether or not you know who they are. They’ve got personality, and it’s not the kind of personality that announces itself with noise, fanfare and noontime show backup dancers; it’s simply there and it does not give a damn. They know who they are and they don’t care what you think. They’re crazy talented women who are killing it in their respective fields and, well, life in general.
Some of these women might already be familiar to you. Others might not be (but are now, you’re welcome). Meet the women of YStyle.
