Fun and fancy free

MANILA, Philippines - Spring 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of Kate Spade New York. This season’s collection was inspired by a few of creative director Deborah Lloyd’s favorite things, beginning with Ormond Gigli’s iconic photograph “girls in windows,” which was shot in New York in 1960. The colorful contrast, the sophisticated style — this season is all about a high-spirited approach with streamlined silhouettes in confetti colors, like pops of shocking pink and cobalt blue, shaken up with mint cream and orange whip, strawberry sundae and lemon soufflé. The prints this season are vibrant and over the top, in bold graphics and a fanciful mix of florals.
