7 steps to looking glamorous

Bea J. Ledesma - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - New Year is just around the corner. It’s a time to contemplate the highs and lows of 2012 and to consider your goals for the coming year. More importantly, it’s the time to dress up, look hot and party like you’re still in college on allowance. (Oh, you’re still in college? Your parents just gave you a new car? Wonderful. Getting old is great!)

Shu Uemura makeup artist John Pagaduan took us through the step-by-step process to achieve the season’s glam do: the Lagerfeld-approved Mon Shu look. With its retro-futuristic appeal, it’s bound to get you a line of dudes (or ladies, if that’s how you swing), waiting to give you that New Year’s kiss when the clock strikes twelve.

1. Apply black cream eyeshadow, using your finger or a  synthetic eyeshadow brush, over the lids as a base.

2. Carefully swipe on the green pressed eyeshadow on top of it.

3. Use the black pressed shadow to contour the sides of the eyes extending over the brow bone.

4. Use the cream shadow to line the lower lids extending to the contours of the lower lash line. 5. Apply the green shadow all over, while brushing black shadow on the sides.

6. To give a more “holidazed look,” press some silver shadow on the inner sides of the eyes extending it to the hollow of the eye. Avoid crossing the brow bone.

7. To finish the look, wear the Karl Lagerfeld premium false lashes.
