The fashion designer's bestfriend

MANILA, Philippines - Fashionary is the first of its kind: a sketchbook created for designers, stylists and fashion enthusiasts.

Its pages are filled with connect the dots body templates, making it easier to draw human figures. It comes in men’s wear and women‘s wear editions and in two sizes: A5 and A4.

Penter Yip, a fashion and graphic designer based in Hong Kong, created Fashionary in 2009. The concept of having a notebook filled with easy-to-use, blended figure templates stemmed from Yip’s experience during his fashion studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.

Fashionary also has a new memo pad version, which are templates printed on sticky memo pads, enabling designers to stick their sketches onto mood boards. Each memo pad has a spec sheet at the back for quick reference. It comes in six versions: top, bottom and figure versions, both for men’s and women’s apparel.

Visionary: Fashionary is a diary with printed figure templates, fabric guides and a design dictionary for designing on-the-go.Available at Avalon.ph
