MANILA, Philippines - Holiday in the tropics? There’s still a lot of good cheer, only amid foliage and lots of colorful, chirpy fauna.

Fashion-wise, it’s all about layering lightweight pieces or just wearing cold-weather clothes that can stand on their own. Take your cue from youthful brand Benetton, where the holiday season takes on faded, second-skin jeans, the still-ubiquitous plaid shirt (although now in more somber, autumn-inspired hues) and the color blue (whether in striking solid or haphazardly graphic).
