Eyewear that's as cool as it is eco-friendly
MANILA, Philippines - Forget Tom Ford. Eco-conscious is a label most people need to sport.
Getting in on the eco-friendly action is Timberland. Their line, Earthkeepers, a line of sleek frames for glasses and shades, makes its debut in the environmentally-friendly fashions sector.
Made from recycled and renewable materials, the plastic utilized in the frames is derived from plant oil, while the temples are made from bamboo — both naturally renewable resources that represent a more environmentally-conscious way to make eyewear.
Even the container, made from 100-percent green DNA, a leather alternative consisting of cellulose fiber and recycled paper and latex, taps renewable resources.
The linear and understated frames, which come in tortoiseshell and black, are modeled after Mod-era specs, with a hint of James Dean. Sporty yet minimalist, this eyewear label proves that it’s cool to be eco-friendly.
